Services:
ACTIVITY FACILITATOR
DUNBOYNE DAY SERVICE, CO MEATH
Dunboyne Day Service is an adult day service (for adults/school
leavers of mixed gender aged from **Apply on the website** years of
age upwards.) We provide appropriate quality care and support for
service users with an intellectual disability/autism.
Dunboyne Day Service is located in Business Park based in Dunboyne
village, Co. Meath. We are surrounded by lots of great amenities such
as local parks and playgrounds, swimming pools, shopping centres,
local church, local library, gym and sports centres. The service has
ample access to public transport such as Dublin Bus and Dunboyne train
station.
The role entails providing support in the community and in the centre
and supporting the individual with care and support in all aspects of
everyday living, enhancing their daily living skills and community
integration. The role entails sourcing opportunities of employment and
further education. Staff are required to devise activity schedules
weekly and programme folders based on the individual?s needs, wishes
and choice. The role also involves some administration duties such as
completing daily notes, monthly summaries and key working sessions
with residents, as well as updating personal plans, risk assessments
etc. We focus on person centred planning and supporting residents to
achieve their own goals, as well as recognizing that each individuals
needs are very different and unique to them. We also focus We focus on

individual in their own care and promoting choice, what we call
co-production.
